Northern Ireland Attracts Business Tourists

Northern Ireland saw an increase in inflow of business tourists in 2011. There was a 14% increase in the number of visitors. Total 276,000 business people visited Northern Ireland. A recent survey by the Tourism Board found that visitors usually spend an average of 2.6 days in the country. The report also found that 13% tourists extended their stay beyond the event. The extended period was up to an additional 3.3 days. Northern Ireland has been in focus in recent times for its developing economy. The infrastructure projects and job market have brought attention to this country.
